Ironman Parade

Caught this athlete hiking his hydration and food home on the way to the parade last night...

Ali’i Drive is normally a quaint oceanfront street sprinkled with little shops and tourists. But last night it was transformed as thousands of people gathered to watch the annual Ironman Parade.

People from every corner of the world marched together united by the sport of Triathlon. You could really feel the energy from the crowd, but Germany’s fluorescent orange shirts definitely took it up a notch.

There were classic cars bearing Ironman Champions, local children handing out plumeria flowers and even pairs of sandals being tossed into the crowd.
